Commemorating centenary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Finland
On 14 October Lithuania and Finland are celebrating the Centenary of de jure diplomatic relations.
The 100 years for our countries were the years of creating and strengthening our young States that were constantly challenged by internal and external forces since that period was marked by great historical turbulences and geopolitical clashes.
After Lithuania regained its independence in March 1990, Finland became an important counselor and supporter on Lithuania's way to the EU membership. Today, Lithuania and Finland are two modern states further developing political and economic ties, enjoying companionship in the EU, co-operating in various international fora.
On this occasion the Embassy of Lithuania in Finland and the Embassy of Finland in Lithuania opened a virtual exhibition "100 Years of Diplomatic Relations Between Lithuania and Finland".
