Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania celebrated in Helsinki

On 8 March, a concert “The Baltic Note” in the Old Church of Helsinki marked the celebration of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania.

Ambassador of Lithuania to Republic of Finland Arūnas Jievaltas in the welcome speech reminded the importance of 11th March, 1990 in modern history of Lithuania and highlighted the success of bilateral relations development between Lithuania and Finland.

Well known music of famous composers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other countries were performed by pianists Kristina Annamukhamedova, Mindaugas Neverovas, bassoon player Julius Klimavičius, zither player Lina Žilinskaitė and chamber choir “Addictio”.

The concert was attended by diplomats from foreign representations in Finland, Lithuanian community in Finland, representatives from businesses and cultural institutions.
