Europe Day celebrated in the Embassy of Lithuania in Helsinki
On 10 May, Lithuanian ambassador Žygimantas Pavilionis attended the celebration of the Europe day in the Embassy of Lithuania in Helsinki.
During the event, diplomat Žygimantas Pavilionis, shared his experiences from his work, discussed challenges and opportunities in Lithuania, Europe and transatlantic family, today’s Lithuania. Ambassador answered the questions from the audience.
The minister of energy of Lithuania Rokas Masiulis, who has been visiting Helsinki with a business visit, attended the event and presented current Lithuanian energy policy and challenges.
Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas expressed his gratitude to Jurgita Kekkonen, who is leaving the position of a chairman of the Lithuanian community in Finland, for her creative work and for fostering the Lithuanian traditions. Also, the ambassador introduced the new chairman of the community - Aidas Barkauskas.
Lithuanian community in Finland also bid farewell to the ambassador Arūnas Jievaltas, who is ending his term of office as the ambassador the upcoming summer.
