Exhibition of Juozas Budraitis in Hamina
On 2 December in Hamina, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas opened an exhibition of personal photographs by Juozas Budraitis, prominent Lithuanian actor, diplomat and film legend.
Attendees of the opening ceremony were greeted by Ambassador Arūnas Jievaltas, as well as Ilkka Muurman, Cultural Affairs representative of the City of Hamina.
The exhibition also drew attention of Kymen sanomat, Finnish language daily newspaper published in the Kymenlaakso region of Finland, which interviewed Juozas Budraitis and asked about the ideas behind the exhibition. The latter one depicts various places of Vilnius Old Town as well as portrait photographs of famous Lithuanian actors.
Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland also meet with Hannu Muhonen, Mayor of Hamina, and presented the Lithuanian economic outlook, Klaipėda LNG terminal as well as discussed opportunities for cooperation.
On 3 Decemeber in Helsinki, at the initiative of Lithuanian community in Finland, a cultural evening featuring Juozas Budraitis was organised at the Embassy of Lithuania in Finland. Longtime cultural attache of Lithuania to Russian Federation shared his memories and experiences working as an actor in movies and theaters.
Cultural events were implemented by joint efforts of the Embassy of Lithuania in Finland, Lithuanian community in Finland and Donelaitis Society (Donelaitis-seura).
