Folk music ensemble Pasagėlė performed in Helsinki

On April 25-26, Lithuanian folk music ensemble Pasagėlė performed in Helsinki, Finland. Pasagėlė was invited by Finnish folk music ensemble LuoMuKanteleet, which performed in Lithuania last year.
On April 25, ensemble performed at the Embassy of Lithuania in Finland, where guests were greeted by Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas. On April 26, Pasagėlė and LuoMuKanteleet performed together in a joint concert at one of the public schools in Helsinki.
Ensemble Pasagėlė repertoire consists of songs and instrumental music from Utena region in Lithuania. Pasagėlė was recognised as the best traditional folk instruments ensemble of Lithuania in 1999 and regularly performs in various Lithuanian festivals and events.
