IN HELSINKI, LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF FINLAND
On 25 August during an official ceremony in Helsinki, new Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas presented his credentials to President of Finland Tarja Halonen. During the conversation that followed, the Ambassador and President discussed bilateral relations, issues of the Baltic Sea region and economic situation in Europe. A.Jievaltas conveyed to T.Halonen a letter of the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, in which she thanks President T.Halonen for her personal contribution to the organization of the World Women Leaders conference in Vilnius on 30 June and for active participation in the event. A.Jievaltas is Lithuania’s fifth Ambassador to Finland.
