LITHUANIAN ART IN THE INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION IN LAHTI
The international art exhibition „Travelling letters 2010“ will be opened on June 17, 2010, in Lahti Art Museum.
Works of different authors from 12 countries, including Lithuania, are exhibited in Lahti Art Museum. In the works of art, the historical and cultural context, as well as creative experience is coded by different letter codes containing diacritical signs from all languages.
The exhibition in Lahti is be the final stage of the project „Travelling letters“ which was incepted three years ago. „The travelling letters“ started in 2008 with an exhibition hosted by the Lithuanian Consulate in St. Petersburg, had visited Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, also Lvov, and in autumn 2009 was on display in Vilnius, the European capital of Culture 2009. Next to the best and most outstanding representatives of different field of art, the project traditionally presents creators that had just graduated from their art studies.
