After the summer break, we are pleased to share information about Lithuanian cultural events taking place in Finland in September.

A joint performance, SUPERTHING, by the Finnish dance theatre Minimi (Kuopio) and the Lithuanian Šeiko Dance Theatre (Klaipėda).

The 39th Helsinki International Film Festival "Love & Anarchy" (https://hiff.fi/) will present the programme Animated Baltic Gems (R&A Shorts: Baltian animaatiohuiput).
Duration of the programme: 68 minutes. The programme includes the Lithuanian animated film The One Who Knows (2024) by director Eglė Davidavičė. Duration of the film: 12 minutes.

24 September 2026 the European Day of Languages will be celebrated at Helsinki Central Library Oodi.

We shall mark Baltic Unity Day.Excerpts from the children's book Happiness Is a Fox by Lithuanian author Evelina Daciūtė will be read in Latvian, Lithuanian and Finnish. The author herself will take part in the event and will lead a creative workshop following the readings. The event is organized in co-operation with the Embassy of Latvia in Finland and Oodi Library. Admission is free, and you're warmly welcome to attend. The event is intended for children up to 12 years of age and their parents.
