Lithuanian Language Day comemmorated in Helsinki
Lithuanian language and culture club together with the Embassy of Lithuania on March 4, 2017 the Lithuanian Language Day in Helsinki international cultural center CAISA.
Lithuanian children living in Finland and their parents actively participated in team quiz (mindfight) and language-related games.
Later on ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Valdemaras Sarapinas handed letters of gratitude to the pupils for their participation in Lithuanian Language Day event. Two scholars, who read Lithuanian books the most, were awarded Embassy diplomas of excellence, books from Commission of the Lithuanian Language and incentive prizes from Lithuanian community in Finland.
Lithuanian Language Days were held in 2016 for the first time.
Events take place in period between February 16 - March 11 in Lithuania and abroad. Events bring foreign Lithuanian communities together, strengthen the Lithuanian language learning motivation.
