Lithuanians run The Path of Life and Death in Helsinki
Lithuanians living near Helsinki were not frightened by Finnish winter conditions and gathered for an annual The Path of Life and Death run to commemorate those who died in Lithuania during the events of 13 January, 1991. The run is a tradition among Lithuanian diaspora around the world.
The start was given by Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Mr Arūnas Jievaltas who has also greeted runners at the finish line. All the participants have been awarded with commemorative medals as well as invited for a cup of tea and further discussions to the Embassy of Lithuania in Helsinki.
