Lithuanians run The Path of Life and Death in Helsinki
Lithuanians in Helsinki joined the annual The Path of Life and Death run to commemorate those who died in Lithuania during the events of 13 January, 1991. The run is a tradition among Lithuanian diaspora around the world.
The start was given by Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Mr Valdemaras Sarapinas who has also greeted runners at the finish line. The running route took place around Tervasaari and Katajanokka islands with the finish at the Embassy of Lithuania.
All the participants have been awarded with commemorative medals as well as invited for a cup of tea and further discussions to the Embassy of Lithuania in Helsinki.
