NOTICE OF THE INTERNATIONAL TENDER PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE BEST BUSINESS PLAN OF THE ŠIAULIAI FREE ECONOMIC ZONE AND THE STATUS OF THE ZONE AND THE SELECTION OF THE GROUP OF FOUNDERS
The Government of the Republic of Lithuania hereby announces an international tender procedure for the preparation of the best business plan of the Šiauliai Free Economic Zone and the status of the zone and the selection of the group of founders (hereinafter referred to as the “Tender Procedure”). The winning founder or group of founders will have to set up an Šiauliai Free Economic Zone management company (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”), which will sign with the institution authorised by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania a framework agreement on the functioning of the Šiauliai Free Economic Zone and will be responsible for attracting investors who would establish industrial and/or service companies and create new jobs in the zone. The Company will have the right to grant a permit for the economic entity’s operations in the zone, to sub-lease to companies operating and registered in the zone the land leased to the Company, to set up service companies in the zone, to set financial terms and conditions for the sublease of land and real estate and provision of mutual services, etc. A detailed list of the Company’s rights and duties is provided in the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania regulating free economic zones.
Tenderers are invited to submit their documents at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania situated at: Gedimino Ave. 38, Vilnius.
The acceptance of tenderers’ documents ends on 20 March 2014, at 14:00. The envelopes will be opened on 20 March 2014, at 14.15, at the address: Gedimino Ave. 38, Vilnius.
