Presentation of a book by Dalia Grinkevičiūtė in the Embassy of Lithuania

On 23 May, Finnish version of the memoirs of Lithuanian author Dalia Grinkevičiūtė „Lithuanians by the Laptev Sea“ was presented at the Embassy of Lithuania to Finland.
Ambassador of Lithuania to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas expressed appreciation to the Donelaitis Society and Absurdia publishing house for the initiative shown to represent Lithuania and its history to Finnish readers. The ambassador thanked the translator of the book Reeta Tuoresmäki for her enthusiasm, detailed and thorough work, which made it possible to read memories of a deportee Dalia Grinkevičiūtė in Finnish language.
It is one of the first books written by a Lithuanian author and translated to Finnish language.
