On May 19 in Helsinki, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas met with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, the Prime Minister, Petteri Orpo, and the Speaker of the Parliament (Finnish: Eduskunta), Jussi Halla-aho, as well as Finnish business representatives and Lithuania's honorary consuls in Finland

During the meetings, G. "Our countries understand that peace, national, and regional security are ensured through preparedness, which is our own responsibility, and through partnerships among allies. We must consistently work in both directions. It is gratifying that Lithuania and Finland share common views in formats such as the EU, NATO, and the Nordic-Baltic Eight," said G. Paluckas.

At an event held at the Embassy, attended by the Board of the Finland-Lithuania Business Association, Lithuania's honorary consuls in Finland, and the business community, the Prime Minister presented the Lithuanian Government's initiatives to attract foreign investors to Lithuania. The event was attended by the Head of the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), André Küüsvek. On May 6, Lithuania and NIB signed a €400 million loan agreement in Vilnius to finance investments in the country's defence system.

The Lithuanian Prime Minister also visited the Merihaka civil protection shelter in Helsinki, and the Finnish technology research centre VTT, where he inspected Europe's most powerful 50-qubit quantum computer. One of the senior quantum computing scientists at the centre, Lithuanian Kęstutis Grigoras, contributed to the development of this computer.
