THE COOPERATION AMONG THE MINISTRIES OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF LITHUANIA, FINLAND AND SWEDEN IS STRENGTHENED
On 11-12 February, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Petras Vaitiekūnas and State Secretary of the Ministry Deividas Matulionis met with Secretary of State of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland Pertti Torstila and State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Frank Belfrage.
During the meetings, the issues of concrete regional and bilateral cooperation were discussed. The representatives of the Ministries held consultations on the possible cooperation of the Ministries in order to share experience in the areas of development cooperation, the European Union Presidency and consular assistance. They shared information on the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon and practical preparation for its implementation.
