The Lithuanian Honorary Consulate was opened in Seinäjoki
On November 25th, Ms Hanne Kristiina Orrenmaa became the forth Lithuanian Honorary Consul in Finland with consular jurisdiction over the region of Etelä-Pohjanmaa.
The Honorary Consulate was opened in Seinäjoki with participation of Mr N.Germanas, Vice-minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania, Mr V.Sarapinas, Ambassador of Lithuania, Mr J.Rasinmäki, Mayor of Seinäjoki, Mr. P.Kivisaari, Chair of City Board, other representatives of the city administration and society, cultural and academic communities, entrepreneurs.
The concert of the Lithuanian and Finnish music by Ms Renata Marcinkutė-Lesieur (organ, Lithuania), female choir Tuulivoima (Finland) and Ms Maria Väinölä (organ, Finland) took place at the Lakeuden Risti church on this occasion of the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Seinäjoki. Later, during the official ceremony, the local youth choir Luritus surprised singing in Lithuanian. The guests also enjoyed other musical performances by Seinäjoki’s youth.
